Business Travel
In order to fulfil specific client engagements, consultants may be requested to travel to work on-site at the client's location. Every aspect of business travel is governed by what is acceptable at a particular client site and as such is determined on a client by client basis.
For business travel in North America this usually means that consultants will travel to and work at the client's site for a minimum of a 4x10 or 5x8 billable hour work week, as determined by the client. Consultants usually travel on a Sunday night or Monday morning and return either weekly or biweekly (as determined by the client) on either a Thursday or Friday evening.
For European and overseas, business travel usually means travel to and work at the client's site for a period of 3 to 4 weeks and then return home to work for a week. This may vary from client to client, some periods of work may extend to 6 to 8 weeks depending on the client or phase of the project.
Consultants may request to travel to and be assigned only within North America or only within Europe, or travel throughout North America, Europe, and overseas.
Relocation to Toronto or to a particular client site is NOT required. Consultants may commute to their respective client sites directly from the city in which they reside, provided that they live within a reasonable distance from a major metropolitan airport.
