The
Challenge
Family Dollar had aggressive
plans to open additional Distribution
Center, open one (1) store per day and
lower inventory costs. Keeping merchandise
moving efficiently from suppliers to customers
is critical to the success of any retailer,
particularly one that is expanding as
rapidly as Family Dollar. To ensure all
store items are purchased in a standard
format while replenishment is at optimal
levels, Family Dollar turned to Oracle Retail's (Retek)
Merchandise and Replenishment solution.
The
Solution
Active Intelligence provided
the implementation leadership in the areas
of Functional and Technical Subject Matter
Expertise to assist with the RMS and RTM
implementation. Further, Active Intelligence,
having been there, and done that, was
the ideal choice to work with Family Dollar
as the subject matter experts on the use
of Oracle Retail (Retek). Active Intelligence worked with
Family Dollar throughout the life cycle
of the project and was involved in all
facets of the implementation from design,
development, testing, training, and production.
